We are quite small. Is this overkill?
Sometimes, and we will say so. The honest test is whether the spreadsheet is costing you real hours or real mistakes yet. If it is not, keep the spreadsheet and spend the money elsewhere. If two people are reconciling copies by hand every week, it is not overkill.
Can we start small and add later?
That is usually the right shape. Build the one screen your day runs through, use it for a few months, then add the next thing once you know from experience rather than from a workshop what it should be.
What does it cost?
It depends on scope, and we are not going to invent a range on a web page. You get a fixed number in writing after the first call and the scoping that follows it, before any code is written.
